Late Shri Vishwas B. Deykar, Police Constable (Armed Police) PC-210060 son of Balkrishna G. Deykar and Radha B. Deykar of 2^nd India Reserve Battalion was born on 4^th June in the year1987 in Ambaulim, Quepem, South Goa. He completed his SSC from Government High School Ambaulim, Quepem, Goa in March 2003. Further he joined 2^nd India Reserve Battalion as a Police Constable on 14^th October 2010. He completed his basic training at RTC, CRPF, Neemuch, Madhya Pradesh. He had competed his regular 10 years of service in 2^nd India Reserve Battalion in 2020. During his tenure he was awarded with various rewards and Commendation Certificates for his outstanding performances for discharging duties.  

     On the intervening night of 16/01/2022, Vishwas B. Deykar who was attached to Colva Police Station was performing nakabandi duty/Static Surveillance point in view of Assembly Election duty at Seraulim Salcete Goa. While performing his duties he was dashed and dragged away by vehicle Skoda Rapid bearing No. GA-05-D-6430. The driver of the vehicle drove the vehicle in a rash and negligent manner and he was under the influence of Alcohol. Vishwas B. Deykar sustained grievous injuries to his body. He was immediately shifted to District Hospital Margao and was further referred to GMC, Bambolim for medical treatment wherein he succumbed to his injuries while on the way to the GMC Hospital Bambolim.  

     The Officers and men of Goa Police would remember these brave sons of soil at a homage parade at the PHQ on Police Commemoration Day on October 21^st, 2022 by according them a solemn Guard of Honour in the presence of their families.
